Glass Boards Make White Boards A Thing Of The Past!! Learn How To Create Yours.

Everyone knows WE love to work with glass !!!!

This POST will show how to build a transparent glass whiteboard that will never wear out and never ghost.

Glass is a superior surface for writing on with dry erase markers and erases with a tip of the finger.  The size I made mine was 2.4m by 1.2m and was NOT made to freestand as it would take up too much room in my clients office. Total cost was a very reasonable #45,000 , and took a weekend to build and finish (minus the delays from the glass toughening factory in Lagos!). The glass was from the popular building materials market in Amuu Str Mushin Lagos.

Glass is a superior surface for writing on with dry erase markers and erases with a tip of the finger.  The size I made mine was 2.4m by 1.2m and was NOT made to freestand as it would take up too much room in my clients office. Total cost was a very reasonable #45,000, and took a weekend to build and finish (minus the delays from the glass toughening factory in Lagos!). Does it work? Yes. Is it the best transformation I have created and it's long lasting. As opposed to the regular white boards used with color markers this glass boards do not hold marker after a while. They remain crystal clear for several years..

So After buying the glass and having it cut to the 4ft by 8ft size that was convenient you have to go on to the drilling which fits the vertical mullions of the glass partitions because it is necessary to hold this upright against the wall with glass connectors and screws (6 silver circles on the glass board).

The other question you have to ask yourself is safety of the glass, the best thickness would be 10mm but this doesn't erase the risk of injuries so its necessary to have the glass TOUGHENED/TEMPERED (both mean same thing) at either Ace glass, Techno Glass or Jiuhua.

This exciting and versatile glass alternative to the traditional whiteboard / is 80% ready once its toughened. You have two options to customise the glass color. Paint by a spray painter(more expensive but works fine if you need to make a custom color) If you need it in white all you need to is purchase a white sticker that comes in 4ft width by any needed length. This is installed by SAV/Branding professionals who make a water-soap mixture, spray over the glass, lay the white sticker over the glass, neatly scrape off all bubbles and moisture before neatly trimming the edges.  Once completed this marker board can be used in countless settings, such as the office, boardroom, hospitals, doctors surgery, schools and colleges, even in the home! And with unique options like branding, custom sizes, colours and a bespoke Planner option, the Glass Wipe Board will fit perfectly in any work environment or interior setting.
